What We Collect

Nothing that identifies you.

MindJar stores all your worry data locally on your device using your browser's local storage. We have no accounts, no servers storing your data, and no way to access what you write.

Local Storage

Your worries, timestamps, and preferences are stored exclusively on your device:

  • The text of your worries
  • The emotion category you select
  • When each worry was created
  • When worries were released

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.

Deleting Your Data

You have complete control:

  • Delete individual worries from the app
  • Clear all data by clearing your browser's local storage
  • Use your browser's privacy settings to remove site data
Cookies & Third Parties

MindJar uses only essential functionality cookies required for the website to operate. No tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party cookies.

We do not share any data with third parties because we have no data to share.

GDPR & Your Rights

Under the UK GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access – to request copies of your data
  • Right to rectification – to correct inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure – to request deletion of your data
  • Right to restrict processing – to limit how we use your data
  • Right to data portability – to receive your data in a usable format
  • Right to object – to object to processing of your data

Since MindJar stores all data locally on your device and we collect no personal data, you already have complete control over your information.

Data Retention

Your data is stored in your browser's local storage and will remain there until you choose to delete it. Data persists across browser sessions but may be cleared if you clear your browser data or use private/incognito mode.
